When a hoist is actually needed
A tight turn, a small window, or an item longer than the passenger elevator. A grand piano, a wide fridge, and an L-shaped sofa are the usual cases. A ground floor with a wide door usually does not need a hoist.
The street has to fit the truck and the hoist without blocking an emergency lane. If the city requires a parking permit, it is arranged before the day, not that morning.
How it is priced
The hoist is its own line: floor height, weight, and setup time. If a measurement shows it is unnecessary, the line comes off. It is not left on the bill “just in case”.
